Long answer:
From my understanding, Doom Dice are a special little way of dealing with players 'critical failures'.
so, lets say you happen to have the mis-fortune of ending up in CQC with a xeno, you're on mimimum HP, and you manage to roll incredibly bad, the doom dice would come into play.
As you can see, Dirk had a terrible time of it in the past.

It is correct. Doom dice comes in to play when you least want them too. Imagine them as a six sided die with skulls on every side.

There will only be one game at the moment. There will be a new campaign as well, sorry for the jerkiness but I rather start my own thing from the beginning - You can of course keep your characters.

I will make a transition from current campaign to the new one for concistency reasons, so all that has happened is still true at least.

The new campaign name will be revealed later today...it starts with a K, following the tradition of USCM way back since 2005 of naming campaigns in alphabetical order.

I will also post a data disc and tactical simulation database, I want these to be studied by 2100 hours central universe time tomorrow! That includes stowing your gear and prepping the dropships. Questions?

If I can't find Sylvia (which I can't since I don't think she made it to an actual campaign) I got a new character fleshed out. Kind of a rough and rumble type but with a technical knack... Unless there is something else thats needed more (I can reroll something in line with the Unit's needs).

And being GMT +9 isn't a problem is it?

I am pulling a lot of old strings, lets see if any more oldies turn up eventually. I also posted an ad on www.pbem2.com and I hope we get one or two new players as well.

New campaign name will be Kaus Campaign, named after the star in the Saggitarii starsign Kaus Australis to honor our australian player contingent are from Australia and New Zeland. Kaus was also an ancient god of a nomadic raider tribe who where called the Edomites. The Marines are nomadic raiders so I saw it quite fit.

The first mission will be a simple search & retrieve mission. You will be home in no time and there will be no hustle at all. Promise. ;)

Hmmm.

Do you guys got room for another smartgunner or do you want a technical freak? Like I said, I'm open to rebooting Freiburg (smartgunner) or going with my new creation Fippinger (okay fighter, hardcore repair/mech)?

And where do I apply and turn these dudes/dudettes in at?

Also any chance to get my very own ugly mug as a ava? I should probably post up some pictures of my ill-gotten goods.
