A quick comment on the poll, I'm thinking more about the LT then the Sgt. - even if we get a new one, I think I'd be good for him/her to have been our LT for a little while before the cameras roll, so to speak, so that were not going through introductory/fresh face issues.

I'm indifferent beyond not relying on a player to keep all the other's on pace. Unless you wanna promote Morse to Sergeant. That'll work out nicely.

No way! It needs to be Lt. Morse!

Ana, maybe you can do what Morse did and have two characters. It's just hard to keep a pilot busy. The job involves a lot of sitting and waiting. If you had an infantry grunt as well it may be more fun. Just thinking out loud.

I think I will play Gruber again just because I think I will be a good LT. If y'all prefer an NPC I wouldn't mind starting a new private. Thoughts?

I'm still favorable towards an NPC. It puts lets pressure on the player to be extremely active and decide what the other players are doing. The GM is the GM, and the LT acts like the GM for the platoon, so I say keep them in charge. - I've of course been against a PC LT since the first time though so I'm a bit of a biased source.

I feel that the leadership needs to be an NPC, this allows the GM to keep action on the move and in some respects keep things moving. If a player is inactive or their character starts to dither then it causes everyone down the chain to stall. An NPC can issue and order and at least the grunts can obey without waiting on their squad leaders as well.
