Shepard inched toward the stairs as he contacted the platoon " Captain we haave a possible KIA on our sniper it sounded like a shotgun blast. He said into the headset after it went through he Yelled upstairs "Yeah i got one stupid jar-head!

The same voice calls down, sounding closer as steps can be heard coming towards and then on the stairs. A man in dirty clothes and carrying a pump-action shotgun appears on the stairwell; talking casually; "Way to go Eddie! We'll kick these sorry-ass bastards off our world, yet! You sound a bit strange though...still got that coug...."; his words are cut-off as he comes down the steps and sees PVT Shepard waiting for him...
