Erik began to help construct a barricade, abandoning his beloved crate. He was still alert though, he occasionaly caught a flash of movement and spun around to see nothing at all.

((OOC: Yeah, I will be posting a lot less as well, gotta cram for finals coming up, work is not helping any either))

Morse had his weapon ready like always. It seemed to be like kind of a quiet time, so Morse decided not to say anything.

He wasnt extremely anxious to start the fighting again. These bugs did nothin but cause major injuries, and some weren't the easiest to fix. Morse would see the occasional flash of a shadow. But he figured it was just his mind

He tried to stay as alert as possible.

It was times like these he was happy that he wasn't ever really in the front

(OOC: If we need to take a two week break so that people can finish finals, etc that is fine. It will give me time to complete the transition of PC characters to the new system, etc.)

Ward spoke into his communicator, making sure it was to a private frequency straight to the Gunny.

"What's the plan, Gunny?" Ward inquired, looking for hostiles.

He had the feeling his situation was about to become worse. The feeling of being watched was lingering and he was sure the others felt it. At times he would think he saw something move, but it was generally nothing at all. He shook his head to clear his mind and to attempt to stop hallucinating. He calmed his fears. If he was afraid, he would not perform well. He was now focused and unafraid. He would fight these creatures. It was a never-ending personal struggle for him to go further, but he would. He would continue. Nothing could stop him from saving those missing Marines.

(roll sense danger and spot ambush, pwetty please!)

"Yo, Dugan. What's goin' on upstairs? Got full coverage?" Morrison said on in his headset.

"The rest of you, don't fucking take chances. Report and fire upon any contacts, got that?"

Morrison grabbed the back of Fox's armor with his left hand, holding his rifle pulled into his shoulder with the right. Beads of sweat started to build on his face, and just because of the humid heat in the seemingly endless corridor.
He spat some dip out, and absently noticed that it probably had hit his armor.
Brings character... he thought to himself as his eyes darted around, stopping only for a millisecond at suspicious spots ahead of them.

Erika worked in the construction of the barricade.

The M56 was not very easy to handle while building a barricade.

She really wanted to go away ASAP.

Simovic was finishing constructing the barricades "Yeah I'm hearing you clearly. Just putting the final touches on the barricades. The Sentry Guns should be online too".

Simovic then switched his comms to 2nd Squad. "Have you got those Sentry Guns setup? If so come down here and get your shit prepared for an imminent attack".

Simovic then crouched down behind the left barricade he removed a few clips from his pouches and laid them on the floor next to him, where they'd be easy to grab them when required. He checked his weapon making sure it was set to burst fire and fully loaded. Finally he flipped his IR eyepiece down, he knew it'd be useless against the Xeno's but he still needed to see in the dark and he'd just have to trust his other eye to pick them up. Before going back to scanning the gloom of the tunnel ahead.

Morse had just been keeping his weapon up, and did not help with the baricade. He thought it would be pretty pointless for them all to be doing that, in the case they were attacked. But then Morse got to thinking on something else

What the bug's might have done to the MIA's by now, it only takes a human 5 seconds to kill another one once they had dragged em off. How long would it take for these things to do this

Not only that but, what else could the bugs a been doing to them, maybe they were eating em alive, or gettin infected with a crazy disease they could spread to the rest of em

Sir, i'd like to bring up, what if the MIA's are in such bad shape Quinn and I can't fix em. And what if theres somethin worse wrong with em. What do we do then

"Then we will just freeze them for the trip home." came the short reply.

Morrison also heard Dugan's answer, and he suddenly felt a bit nervous. "Dugan, cover a full 360. Don't put all eggs in one basket. These bugs are sneaky as all hell."

Tyler continued through the humid fog. The marines' footsteps and the ticking of the motion tracker was all he could hear as the squads moved towards the heart of the nest. A thought then struck Tyler, one that made his heart drop.

He tried to look down at his feet. He couldn't see them, they were hidden by the fog. A perfect opportunity for a xeno to grab a man by his feet. Just like the unfortunate fucker who had done so to Tyler before the arrival of Morrison and his men. Tyler flipped down his infra red. It wasn't going to pick up the xenos but it gave him a clear picture of his surroundings, including his feet.

"We should watch our step. The xenos might come from under us"

"Freeze em, that'll be a hell of a thing" Morse thought

It wasn't bad enough being in there, fog everywhere

If all those religious books said that man was suposed to have dominion of over the birds in the air, and the fish in the sea. Arent they sposed to have a stronger hold on the shit they build

But Morse just kept on moving

Then a thought passed into his head, and he remembered he knew something that he would have to tell... well someone

it wasn't really eating at him, but he knew that eventually he would have to say somethin about it

Gonna bring home a few freezy pleazies, that'll be fun

"Ok roger that".

Simovic spoke into his comms "Petrova go up and flip Sentry Gun D to cover the corridor we've just come from, the rest of 2nd Squad defend the right barricade".

"Hor, I don't think it is even possible to get an accurate heat reading on the damned IR. This entire area IS a heat source. The only thing good about it is you can see yourself and where you walk." Ward said into his microphone, radioing the Radio Operator.

Ward flipped down his IR to make sure he could see where he was stepping and hopefully get the upperhand on a xenomorph. If he was lucky, they might have warmed up enough to be somewhat visible on the Infrared. He only hoped that the situation he was in did not worsen, as he was already fed up with the crap he had taken so far. He just wanted to rescue the missing Marines and leave the station; however, deep down he knew a fight was inevitable. He felt as if he was walking into the middle of a trap. The last thing he wanted was to die, though he felt it may be inevitable as well. At least he knew if he died, he would die fighting for the right reasons and that he followed orders to the letter.

He kept search for targets. Nothing. He would sometimes see slight movement, though both his eyes and the IR could not pick up anything after that. His eyes were either toying with him or *they* were toying with him. They were sneaky and appeared to be strategist, somewhat. Though, he had only encountered them briefly. They could have probably been even more dangerous when stealthed then when the queen came and the Marines were aware of their presence.

"Ward to Morrison, how are we going to extract the missing Marines, sir? Any specific plan we should know about to cover eachother and our escape until the others can cover our asses for us? Over." Ward asked over the communications.
