Quinn turned to Mark with a frown on his face as he listened to the tech. Okay, there was vac suits. They had some breathing room. And then Mark pointed at the floor underneath the APC. Quinn’s eyes closed as he rubbed the bridge of his nose, an irritated sigh escaping his lips.

When Dmitri offered to move the APC, Quinn nodded. ”Thank you sir, move it to the back as much as possible.”

Once that was done, Quinn yelled up to the upper deck. ”MORSE! GET YOU AND YOUR SQUAD DOWN HERE!” The comm system was shot because of the EMP so the old standard issue, Mk 1 yelling had to be used for getting orders heard. ”AND BRING POPE WITH YOU!”

Once that had been done, Quinn nodded at the floor under the APC. ”Vac suits in there, get ‘em out.”

Once second squad had started on that, Quinn motioned to Dirk and Pope., taking them off to the side to speak quietly, out of hearing from the civilians. ”Sergeant, you’re here as witness and sounding board. Pope, can you make an analog timer for the Mark One-Oh-Three?”

The Mark 103 was the descendant of the W89 missile warhead, with a yield of two-hundred kilotons. The Snakefighter kept one, and required a two-man unlock system.

Dmitri didn't waste any air answering the Lieutenant but got to work moving that APC. He got strapped in and studied the controls for a few seconds, finding that it wasn't that different from vehicles he'd driven before. If the gears ground a little, no one was really going to care. He started the APC up and put it in gear and eased it off the plates.

"What are you doing?" came Oksana's voice at his shoulder, followed an instant later by her hand gripping his arm.

"Sit down. Strap in." Dmitri kept his eyes on the task and trusted his wife to stay out of the way.

"Three meters," she said as she took the seat nearest to him, eyeing the rear view camera feed. "Two meters. One … half … Stop."

Brakes applied, Dmitri put the APC in park but kept the engine on.

eyeball heard the call for Morse and the squad to move in to grab equipment, he followed the commands and lept in grabbing the gear and passing it up.
whilst doing this his mind was racing about oxygen and more importantly carbon dioxide levels.
"i know this is a strange question" eyeball started, "but does anyone know if the mess has caustic cleaners? if they do i can make a basic CO2 scrubber!"
"any kind of sodium hydroxide would work, paint stripper? caustic soda? powder rather than liquid but liquid would still work!"

Upon the call to retrieve their android, Morse rolled his eyes. In many ways he’d rather just leave the robot, since he thought they were over reliant on it as it was. But for the moment he wasn’t going to argue the politics of building artificial people and how many among the population had a serious distrust of them and everything they did.

Just before Morse started moving to go and grab the android, Eyeball had a question. Morse was not entirely certain what he wanted to do exactly, but the request was easy enough. ”Check the storage lock next tuh the dish cleaner unit.” Morse said pointing. ”Ats where the wash up shit is.” Morse recognized he’d been on the Snakefighter far longer then Eyeball who might have had less of an idea. But if there was any of what he was looking for to be found it’d be there. ”Get whatever the fuck it is n’ move back to the wagon room.” He ordered to have the squad head back to the cargo bay.

< Tag Eyeball

Morse quickly then moved up to the bridge where their android was still working on whatever technical venture they had him doing. ”Up n’ Up robot.” Morse ordered to the android. ”Quinn’s callin’ ya down. Drop it in run.” Morse finished. They then moved back down to the cargo bay and Morse left the android in front of Quinn

< Tag Pope and Quinn

And when Morse heard what Quinn wanted the robot to do, he stretched the muscles in his neck. ”Holy shit.” Morse muttered. ”We’re gon’ die.”

Dirk listened to Quinn issue orders to Pope about setting the One-Oh-Three, The bomb had a two-hundred kiloton yield. That was about fifteen times the yield of the bomb that was dropped a few hundred years ago during the second world war on the city of Hiroshima. Still, by the standard for bombs of today the One-Oh-Three was a tactical nuke.

"I'm with you on this sir. The Snake fighter can not be captured intact. It would be a nightmare for the commercial shipping lanes not to mention the colonies. However I still feel that a quick strike by a few people could manage to take the enemies' ship. Just give me the go ahead and I'll take two or three people with me. The vac-suits may not be combat rated, but if we're fast enough they won't have to be." Dirk said as the suits were being unpacked.

Sal floated, staying calm and out of the way, using as little air as possible. All the running and screaming wasn't going to do any one any good.

He laughed as a thought picked at his head. Commercial and Civilian ships usually had some kind of wireless network for the custodian crews, if they didn't have sufficient automation to run with everyone on ice.

"I wonder," He shrugged and pushed off so he would drift past the Lieutenant and toward the APC.

"Sir," He addressed Quinn with a salute, "Permission to use the APC's comms to see if our hijackers left their wifi unlocked? Might be able to get some info on 'em at this range." He wasn't a computer specialist by any stretch, but with everyone doing something, Sal was feeling useless.

Checking to see if the baddies kept their porn stash unlocked seemed as good a use of breathing for anything. "Otherwise, I'll gather up supplies for a long trip in the camper."

Pope listened into orders as the Marines scrambled around the Snakefighter getting her ready for a surprise package for the enemy vessel. He nodded his head in acknowledgement of setting an analog timer.

"Sir, I can set up an analog timer if you desire but, I must warn you though that I am afraid any sign of hostility toward the enemy may result in the death of all hands including the pilot and crew as well as the civilians. Also we are being towed further away from the distress beacon and this could result in our demise as well." A soft shutter interrupted Pope, turning his head sideways like a quizzical dog he paused for a few seconds before continuing, "That was the crew of the Snakefighter abandoning ship as we speak. Also we are down to 5 minutes supply of air. I highly recommend entering the APC and exiting the vessel."

Roberts had regained control of his emotions. After grabbing the oxygen mask, he went to work on the sentry guns. He disarmed the first one and then detached the magnets. He started lugging it downstairs to put it on the APC. As much as he liked the idea of leaving the guns there to catch any boarders, he had to put their own safety first.

After he finally overcame the difficulty of moving the gun in zero gravity, he magnetized it to the floor of the APC, as much out of the way as possible. He saw the civilian woman, Dr. Oksana. "Don't worry. We'll be okay," he said to her, not believing a word of what he said.

<Tag Oksana>

Roberts then went to work gathering the contents of the ship's armory and moving them to the APC. At the first sign of orders, he would drop what he was doing and rush to follow them.

Eyeball checked the mess found caustic drain cleaning granules shoved them into a blender and formed powder. Taking the powdered caustic soda he grabbed some cloth and made a pad to fit over the intake inside the ship. As return air flowed back into the air con the powder would bind with free carbon dioxide and monoxide producing oxygen.
It wouldn't make much difference but might gain them a few more minuets.

Oksana turned around as she heard Roberts enter the APC and watched him install the smartgun aft out of the way. She remained where she was but gave him a nod and a thumbs up when he reassured her. Of course, she could hear from his tone that he wasn't convinced of the truth of his statement but sometimes truth took a back seat to esprit de corps. Right now, they needed to stick together. When Roberts exited the APC and the shudder went through the ship, she cut a look at her husband.

"What do you think that was?"

"Decoy, maybe?" Dmitri answered, his arms folded over the yoke as he leaned forward to look out the front windows. "The Lieutenant is up to something. Look over there." Dmitri nodded to the side, pointing out Quinn, Pope, and Dirk standing apart from the others.

Oksana watched a moment and quit her seat.

"We don't have much air left," she said. "Whatever they're doing, it has to be fast. We can make it happen faster." She left without saying more. She'd offer the Marines her own two hands to help with whatever they were doing, but she'd let Dmitri decide if he'd do the same.

Dmitri sighed a soft curse and unbuckled from his seat, muttering. "For once in your damned life, 'Sana, stay in the fucking car ..." If she was going, he was going. Simple as that. When he caught up with his wife, she was already on the deck, pulling the suits from storage and helping the Marines get into them. Dmitri pulled himself into the space below the deck plates and dragged the suits packed farther back toward the open hatch, making them easier to get to.

That was it then, they were out of time. Any chance of a counter attack was over now. That left only one thing to do, and it went against his every instinct. They had to get the APC loaded up with whatever they could get and use it as a lifeboat.

"Morse, Sam. Get your squads moving, double time and with your O2 masks on just incase. I want every scrap of food and water and O2 cannisters you can get into the APC inside five minutes. After that, we are leaving. Roberts , you're with me. Everyone is already armed and you already got a couple smart-guns loaded so I want all the ammo, grenades and equipment we can carry in five minutes.." Move out"
<Tag Morse, Sam and Roberts>

Turning quickly to the APC he looked in. "Oksana, I hate to ask but we're out of time. The hatch to the suit storage is open. Please load all the suits on the APC. We only have five minutes so I ain't countin off for lack of neatness. Just get them in and strap yourself in." Dirk said in a hurry. "Take this" He said quickly grabbing a headset from it's cradle in the APC. "Just listen for instructions over the net. Don't worry, we're going to make it if we hustle"
<Tag Oksana>

That done Dirk pulled his O2 mask on and moved to the armory. He was there quickly and loaded all the grenades and ammo he could into a large, green bag he pulled out of a locker. He also grabbed a couple motion trackers, a couple portable welders and a tool kit. He wasn't sure if they would help but you never know what you might have use for.

"Time." Dirk said after five minutes. "lets get the hell out of here."

Oksana took the headset from Dirk and put it on, fitting the earpiece snugly.

"Let's move," she said, offering Dmitri her hand up only to find her husband already hauling out of the storage compartment. It made for an intense five minutes, but they got the remaining suits into the APC just as the rest of the platoon and the equipment showed up. There was the general fuss of getting everyone aboard and the last of the loose items stowed (or in some cases, wedged in wherever they could manage). Oksana grabbed a seat in the passenger area and Dmitri did the same and both buckled in.

Colson heard the orders relayed and quietly cursed to himself. Gathering his equipment and supplies he reflected for a moment on how grateful he was for not being the sort to bring small personal effects with him. Leaving that sort of thing behind would hurt.

Being his squads medic he concentrated on grabbing what limited medial supplies he could from the emergency store on the Snakefighter before hauling ass back to the APC. As he floated towards the APC door a brief thought crossed his mind; how would they get the APC out of here?

Swinging on the door frame he entered a very cramped APC he secured the gear in an overhead compartment before heading back to the door to wait for Morse, the smartgunner would need a hand manoeuvring himself and gear into position in this zero G and highly cramped space.

<Grab what Medical Supplies I could, extra K52 and and a handful firstaid packs I would imagine.

Eyeball hit the armoury, grabbed extra ammo, grenades, flashbangs also electronic bypass kits and hacking tools these would be useful for gaining access to the new ship if thats were they ended up.
he loaded up as much as he could in a large carry bag then filled another using half the time allotted then dragged them back to the APC.

he passed the supplies into the APC then headed to the galley to do the same with food and water.
he heard the call for time and loaded with MRE"S and water he headed back to the APC.

"Yes Sir," Roberts said to Dirk. He made his way to the armory and stuffed ammo and grenades into a utility pack. Once the Dirk gave the signal, he got into the APC. He locked his smartgun into the wall harness and strapped himself into the adjacent seat. Now that he had a second, he closed his eyes and let out a long deep breath. He prayed silently in his head.
