Their survival had not surprised Morse. They had been through far worse things, and as far as he knew they were some of the most experienced marines that were still in the field. Making it in time had not struck him as odd. Nor did the rain of guts that was pouring from the ceiling. It had been Dirk's shot for certain that took the last man down. Morse himself had been aiming at the wrong end, and Colson was firing all over the place, so he didn't put enough rounds in a single mass to cause that carnage.

Morse took a breath, assessing where they were, but also trying to figure out what their next move should be. Though the military command structure was still in effect, as always, Morse had come to a point where he was less then interested what their superior had to say on anything.

"No shit." Morse answered Colson's point. But looked ahead to the door. "Figure we keep goin n' snap that door open'r... wait here for... whatever." Morse wanted to keep moving as he hated the tight space, but he was open to other ideas.
