Turn 19: Push Forwards

Sykes's voice crackled, authoritatively, over the squad comm-net: "Stay calm, keep fighting. We need to push them out of there. Be aggressive."

With his patient stable for now, Kelly remembered the old marine corpsman's axiom: "The best thing a medic can do in a firefight is help remove the firefight" and unlimbered his M41. Kelly took a position at the rear of the APAC that Sykes was already using as cover and joined in providing suppressive fire on the hostiles embedded around the crash site.

Cpl. Barayev switched out with Sgt Hall on the gun of APAC 3 and Hall made her way forwards, keeping her head low, to where Morse and Mckenna had found cover just forward of APAC 1 and joined her fire to theirs. In the gun position of APAC 1, Sokolova did her best to ignore the incoming fire spanking off the armour plate surrounding her turret as she added the force of the mounted dual M56's to her comrades efforts. The incoming fire abruptly slackened as her stream of 10mm caseless rounds marched across the position of the UPP support weapon, destroying the gun and punching the gunner off his feet in a spray of crimson.

As the enemy fire dropped in intensity, Henniger began launching smoke grenades, laying down an obscuring screen for the devil dawgs to advance into. He and Paulson sprinted forwards through the smoke to the next line of cover. The UPP position was now just a few meters away. If the rest of the squad could keep the OP-FOR's heads down for just a few more seconds, Paulson's incinerator could finally get into play and end this standoff...

Paulson weaved and dodged and ducked and finally slid into cover about 12 -15 meters out from one of the enemy positions.
He checked himself over, so far no holes, he breathed a sigh of relief, then jumped a proverbial mile as Henniger slammed into the cover next to him, he had been so caught up in his head long charge he did not realize he had had company.

smoke still wafted around their position it wouldn't stop incoming fire but it would confuse IR and visible spectrum. Paulson checked his pilot light was lit and valves where ready to go took a breath and nodded to Henniger.

kneeling for a stable base, Paulson turned towards the enemy position aimed and and released an arcing torrent of what he hoped would be flaming death onto the enemies position. The air lit up and heat back blasted, warming his face and causing the smoke to dissipate quickly the roar was short but satisfying as he sprayed out a 4 second blast before ducking back into cover.

His friend Paulson's eyes were large and bright white in contrast to his sooty face as Henniger banged down next to him into their cover.

Paulson leaned out and let the enemy pos have it bbq style. Henniger waited for him to finish his long stream, then popped up to engage anything not screaming and running around on fire.

He fired into the position, m41 bucking into his shoulder armor.

SGT Samantha Hall

Sam Hall; knowing her fellow Marine was moving up close to use his Flame Thrower decided to try and help him out with some suppressing fire...

She took a deep breath, let it out and ran sideways while yelling at the top of her lungs and holding the trigger down, sending 10mm ETCLAP rounds spraying all over the UPP troops' position. She wasn't attempting to hit anybody really, just get their attention focused on either hitting the duck or looking her way. Once she had ran about 10 or so feet to the side, she'd hurl herself down to the ground and roll towards some cover....
